Woman looking through a Google Cardboard virtual reality headset
At Candela, we're changing perceptions about physics with our virtual reality experienceLearn more →

Our Vision

Our north star is to change perceptions of physics. We wanted to show that physics has amazing practical applications, so we developed a virtual reality experience to get 14- to 18-year-old students really excited about it. Physics should be fun!

Our team is based around the University of Warwick, and we're keen to reach out to underrepresented groups in the West Midlands.

Our school sessions

Flexible for your needs

We offer schools 45–60 minute sessions for 14–18 year-old students. The sessions can be tailored to fit into extracurricular time slots.

We bring the experience to you

We bring all the equipment required including Google Cardboard VR headsets and printouts for all activities.

Explore exciting areas of physics

The VR activities include building a solar cell, viewing the inside of a fusion reactor in operation, and more!

What schools say about us

... a worthwhile activity to enhance the curriculum. Using VR has the potential [for students] to see things they are unlikely to get the experience to see otherwise.
